BYC remained undefeated for the tournament, defeating WWBBA in the 4th Grade Boys Championship. In a rematch from pool play, WWBBA provided the greatest test that BYC had faced yet in the tournament. Their 5 point victory was their smallest margin of victory in the tournament as they controlled the game and came out on top. BYC continues to provide strong teams each year for the McKay Tournament and came away with the trophy behind the MVP performance of Carter Kinsler.
4th Grade Girls – Perkiomen Valley
4th Grade Girls - Perkiomen Valley
Perk Valley was crowned champions of the 4th grade girls division after going undefeated throughout the weekend. In the championship game, the Great Valley Fever made a couple of runs to cut the deficit, but Perk Valley never gave up the lead. Their effective defense, dominant rebounding, and smooth ball movement were ultimately too much for the Fever to handle and won with a final score of 27-17.
5th Grade Boys – Spring Ford
5th Grade Boys - Spring Ford
The Spring Ford Rams 5th Grade Boys team continued their disciplined and effective man to man defense from the tournament all the way through the championship game. Kendrick Rec and Spring Ford traded blows during the game but Spring Ford was able to maintain their lead despite Kendrick fighting back in to the game and having a 3 point shot barely miss in the closing seconds. Both teams represented their organizations well and displayed their talents in front of a packed gym.
5th Grade Girls – Gold – Marple Newtown
5th Grade Girls - Gold - Marple Newtown
The 5th grade girls Gold division final featured a rematch from pool play between the Marple Tigers and Great Valley Huskies. The game was close early, but the Tigers went on a run in the 2nd quarter fueled by tenacious defense. Great Valley made a few pushes in the 2nd half to get it close, but ultimately Marple pulled away.
5th Grade Girls – Silver – Paoli
5th Grade Girls - Silver - Paoli
The 5th grade girls Silver division championship featured a rematch of a first round nailbiter where Paoli beat Upper Merrion 17-15. In the championship game, Paoli’s effective ball movement and mid-range scoring overcame Upper Merion’s speed and swarming defense and allowed them to pull away with a victory of 26-10.
6th Grade Boys – Plymouth
6th Grade Boys - Plymouth
The 6th Grade Boys Championship game provided an exciting finish to a great weekend of basketball. Plymouth ABA faced off against The 2024 Rockin Around the Rim Champion MARA Warriors. A back and forth battle led to a 3 point Plymouth lead with 3 seconds remaining in the game. MARA inbounded the ball and a heave from the opposite 3 point line found the basket to force overtime. In overtime, Plymouth was ultimately too much to handle and came away with the victory in the final game of the McKay Memorial Tournament.

In an exciting rematch of a game earlier in the day, Great Valley 4th Grade Boys faced off against Shoot Hoops. Shoot Hoops managed to come back from an early deficit and sharp shooting from Great Valley to take the crown in the 4th grade boys division.

4th Grade Girls -Main Line Girls Basketball
MLGBA was able to stay perfect in the tournament and beat Springfield in the 4th grade girls championship 17-12. MLGBA’s great ball movement and solid shooting was able to withstand Springfield’s intense defensive pressure to take home the victory.
5th Grade Boys -Shoot Hoops - Black
5th Grade Boys -Shoot Hoops – Black
The boys 5th grade championship pitted two undefeated teams against one another, Shoot Hoops Black and the Great Valley Vipers. Shoot Hoops Black started hot with full court pressure before the Great Valley Vipers found their footing, trading back and forth blows for the remainder of the game. Ultimately, Shoot Hoops Black was able to maintain their lead wire to wire after a late push by the Great Valley Vipers.

The 5th grade girls championship pitted the two undefeated teams in the division against each other, Great Valley and Spring Ford. In a tight back and forth battle, Great Valley led by 5 at the end of the 3rd quarter, but could not hold on in the closing minutes, with Spring Ford edging out the win 31-28.
6th Grade Boys -MARA Warriors
6th Grade Boys -MARA Warriors
The 6th grade boys MARA team went undefeated and captured the championship defeating Shoot Hoops 62-56 in the Rockin Around the Rim Tournament finals this past weekend. 3 point shooting was on display by both teams in a high scoring championship game.
6th Grade Girls -Great Valley Diamonds
6th Grade Girls -Great Valley Diamonds
The 6th grade Great Valley Diamonds battled to a championship in the Rockin Around the Rim tournament this past weekend. They had a tough rematch against Governor Mifflin and found themselves down 9-3 after the first quarter. The Diamonds battled back with great team defense, rebounding and played very composed against an aggressive full court press the entire game. In the final minutes of the game Great Valley pulled away and won 33-27.
